On October 16th, I will be walking in the Light the Night Walk at LP Field to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I will join thousands of other people in finding a cure for leukemia, lymphoma and other blood cancers. The walk is a nationwide evening walk to celebrate and commemorate lives touched by cancer. Did you know that…

- Leukemia is the number one cause of disease related deaths of young adults under age 20.
- More than 823,000 Americans live with blood cancer.
- Every ten minutes, someone dies from a blood cancer.
- Ten times as many adults as children are stricken with leukemia.
- More than half of all cases occur in persons over 60.

I am writing to each of you to ask for your support. The money will go to LLS for research, patient services, advocacy and education! NO DONATION IS TOO GREAT OR SMALL…every little bit helps.
